The Plot: "Through a Glass, Darkly"

This issue explores the tragic obsession of the second Mirror Master, Evan McCulloch, and features a team-up between Wally West and Bart Allen (Impulse).

• The Mirror Quest: Mirror Master traps Flash in the Mirror World, but not for a typical ransom. He is obsessed with finding a woman who looks exactly like his deceased girlfriend, Emelia. He forces Wally to help him "search" through every reflection on Earth to find her.
• The Truth about Emelia: With help from Oracle(Barbara Gordon), they track down the woman, Mary Anders. In a dark twist, it’s revealed that Mary is Emelia—she faked her death and entered witness protection specifically to escape McCulloch's criminal life.
• Impulse’s First Rogue: This is a key milestone for Bart Allen, as it’s his first real encounter with one of his grandfather's classic Rogues. His impulsive nature nearly dooms them when he accidentally gives Mirror Master a reflective surface to travel through.
• The Resolution: Realizing that his very presence strikes terror into the woman he "loves," McCulloch surrenders. It’s a rare moment of genuine pathos for a Flash villain, showing the thin line between love and obsession.
