The Plot: "Going Home"

Wally’s jealousy and his new, god-like speed lead him into a direct confrontation with the Mirror Master in a battle of optics vs. velocity.

• The Mirror Dimension: Evan McCulloch (Mirror Master II) uses his mirrors to create a labyrinthine trap for the Flash. This issue features some of Oscar Jimenez’s most imaginative layouts, showing Wally vibrating through reflections and shattered glass.
• Linda’s Past Revealed: The mystery of Linda’s ex-husband is resolved. It wasn't a romantic betrayal, but a complex legal and personal mess that she felt she had to handle on her own to protect Wally’s focus.
• The "Anchor" Concept: This issue reinforces the "Lightning Rod" theory—that Linda is the only thing keeping Wally from being permanently absorbed by the Speed Force. It moves their relationship from "boyfriend/girlfriend" to an unbreakable cosmic bond.
• The Power of Perception: Mirror Master realizes that even though Wally is faster than ever, he can still be fooled by what he sees . It’s a classic Rogue vs. Flash dynamic where brains and gadgets nearly trump raw power.
