Danny Rand’s journey through his original solo title is a blend of 70s kung-fu cinema and cosmic Marvel mythos. In this issue, Iron Fist faces off against the deadly Nightshade(making her second ever appearance after debuting in Captain America ). Set against the backdrop of a high-tech fortress, Danny must fight his way through Nightshade’s robotic "were-wolves" and "Myrmidons" to save his friend, Colleen Wing.

Issue Highlights:

• The Claremont/Byrne Magic: This issue is an early example of the legendary partnership between writer Chris Claremont and artist John Byrne. This duo would soon go on to redefine the X-Men , but their chemistry was forged right here in the pages of Iron Fist .
