Following his debut in his own solo series, Danny Rand is still reeling from his failure to rescue Colleen Wing in the previous issue. As he sits by the hospital bed of Lee Wing, the story dives into a pivotal flashback to Danny's training in K'un-Lun. He recalls the "Trial of the Seven Masters" and his first encounter with the plant-like, sentient race known as the H'ylthri. This issue is essential because it bridges the gap between Danny's mystical origin and his gritty, street-level reality in New York.
