The Storyline

• The Nightmare Realm: Arion is finally out of the Crystal Realm, but his mind isn't his own. He is plagued by "Deadly Dreams"—hallucinations induced by a dark, unseen force that preys on his guilt and his fear of losing his humanity to his magic.
• The Antagonist: This issue introduces Goran, a sorcerer-assassin who uses psychological warfare rather than brute mystical force. He specializes in "Dream-Slaying," attempting to kill Arion in his sleep so his soul can be harvested.
• Lady Chian’s Vigil: While Arion fights a mental war, Lady Chian must physically protect his sleeping body. This highlights the "bodyguard" dynamic that defines their relationship throughout the 1980s run.
