The Plot: "The World Well Lost"

The war between the Lords of Order and Chaos has reached its terminal phase. The barrier between dimensions is thinning, and the "Ancient Atlantis" we’ve known for 34 issues is beginning to physically dissolve.

• The Ultimate Sacrifice: Arion realizes that the only way to prevent the total erasure of his people is to disconnect Atlantis from the source of its magic—an act that will essentially "de-power" him and turn his kingdom into a mundane island.
• Garn Daanuth’s Last Stand: Arion’s brother, ever the opportunist, makes one final, desperate grab for the failing power of Chaos. The confrontation between the two brothers here is less about spells and more about the fundamental philosophical difference between them: Duty vs. Desire.
• The Departure of the Gods: As the magical "Age of Gold" ends, the deities begin to retreat from the Earth, leaving mortals to fend for themselves in a world that is becoming "smaller" and less magical.
